Customer Support Agent
Help business owners with their profiles, the Verified badge and their questions.
About the role
Business owners come to us busy and often unsure how anything online works. As a Customer Support Agent you will be the person who makes it easy for them.
You will answer owners by email and WhatsApp, help them complete and improve their profiles, guide them through the Verified Business application, and check that profiles, reviews and job posts meet our rules. What you learn from owners every day will shape what we build next.
You may be a good fit if you:
- Write clear, friendly English and explain things without jargon
- Are patient, careful with details and happy working through a queue
- Are comfortable with computers, email and online tools
- Care about getting things right for the person on the other side
Strong candidates may also have experience with:
- Customer support, help desk or call centre work
- Working with small business owners
- Checking documents or doing quality reviews
- A second South African language
Representative projects:
- Walk a plumber through creating a profile with photos, hours and services over WhatsApp
- Review a Verified Business application and its documents, and approve or ask for more
- Spot a pattern in owners' questions and write a clear FAQ answer for it
- Check new reviews and job posts against our rules
Logistics:
- Location: Remote, anywhere in South Africa
- Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, during business hours
- Equipment: A laptop and a reliable internet connection
- Start: As soon as possible
