About the role
Most small businesses in South Africa are still hard to find online. As a Field Sales Representative you will change that, one shop, salon, practice and trade at a time.
You will visit businesses in your area, show owners how a WebScheduler Local profile helps customers find them, and help them set it up on the spot. When a business wants to show customers it is real and checked, you will explain the Verified Business badge honestly: what it shows, and what it does not.
You may be a good fit if you:
- Enjoy meeting new people and talking to business owners
- Know your local area and the businesses in it well
- Are organised, follow up when you say you will, and keep good notes
- Are comfortable working towards monthly targets
- Explain things simply, and never promise what a product does not do
Strong candidates may also have experience with:
- Selling to small businesses, in person or by phone
- Commission based or field sales roles
- Social media, websites or online marketing for small businesses
- Speaking more than one South African language
Representative projects:
- Sign up the hair salons, barbers and beauty spots along one high street in a week
- Run a stand at a local market and help ten stall owners create their profiles
- Visit the businesses in a new shopping centre and get them onto its venue page
- Bring back what owners ask for most, so the team can build it
Logistics:
- Location: Kimberley and surrounding areas, Northern Cape
- Hours: Flexible, planned by you around business hours
- Pay: Commission on every business you bring onto Verified Business, paid monthly
- Travel: Daily travel within your area. A driver's licence and your own transport help
- Equipment: A smartphone with data
